LongRiver Infotech is seeking a QA Analyst / Tester to join our healthcare product team. As an accomplished QA Analyst / Tester the candidate will be comfortable developing and maintaining test plans / scripts (both manual and automated), documenting QA practices, performing functional and non-functional testing and providing early stage application development support.
The QA Analyst is a critical link between the Development team providing the product and the market / clients trying to install and use the solution. The need to help capture, consolidate, and communicate the issues / updates from the users to the rest of the team is a critical role that this person plays. Working in conjunction with the business analyst and development teams, responsible for the creation and execution of application test scripts, scenarios, and test plans that validate initial business requirements and user acceptance criteria.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Perform functionality, usability, and regression testing of products.
- Test compatibility on multiple browser platforms – Track, analyze, record and verify all functionality discrepancies.
- Develop estimate and timelines for testing.
- Develop and maintain test plans, testing frameworks, functional tests, integration tests, performance tests, security tests, and automation scripts.
- Write test plans and related documents that can be understood by other software engineers and testers; drive review and approval of plans.
- Maximize overall testing impact and effectiveness though test automation.
- Investigate, test, and implement 3rd party testing libraries and packages.
- Be part of a team that embraces agile methodology and works with quickly changing business requirements.
- Performs web application configuration / release management.
- Interface with hosting provider for application releases.
- Researches and implements QA / Testing technologies and methodologies.
- Updates manager on the progress of assignments and informs of developing issues in a timely manner.
- User Acceptance Testing of Product releases.

Education / Experience:
- Diploma / Bachelors in Computer Science or Electronics.
- Fresher with very good analytical skills and a great passion to work in Healthcare / Life sciences domain.
- Familiar with version control (SVN) and bug-tracking tools.
- Familiar with Product release management and version tracking.
- 1 to 3 years + of web application, mobile application testing and QA experience.
- Experienced in creating comprehensive Test Plans, developing test case and scripts.
- Experience with automated testing tools and suites, such as (but not limited to) JUnit, Selenium, etc.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of web UI best practices.
- Strong bug reporting / documentation skills.
- Understanding of the software development life cycle (requirements, analysis, design, development, testing, and documentation).
- Nice to have: Knowledge/experience in/with OO application development in web-based applications (Java/J2EE, JSP).
- Nice to have: Understanding of health care terminology and medical and pharmacy data.
- Knowledge/experience in/with web technologies : HTML, XML, CSS.
- Familiar with version control (SVN) and bug-tracking tools.
- Familiar with Product release management and version tracking.
